......there is currently a cryptocurrency scam going on right now. I got taken for a good chunk of change.

This scam is navigated through a text on your phone. Someone posed as a representative from my crypto platform saying that my account was attempted to be hacked.

These thieves are very convincing. I called the number and was told that two attempts to hack my account from Singapore and I did receive to alerts. The first I ignored. As part of the scam they advised me to use an offline account to store my crypto which I have considered in the past. Again.....these guys are extremely convincing. He had me go to an secure very legitimate crypto offline wallet....one that I have considered using. After creating the wallet he help me transfer my crypto and watched as the transaction completed. I checked the wallet this morning as my balance was $0.00

I for one don't respond to any texts from numbers I do not recognize, to begin with. Sucks to get taken by this type of scam. I've gotten similar texts and calls from lending companies I never did business with but deleted them as they wanted my bank info.

I should have known Mindless but is was the second text that got me to respond back.

Like I said.....this wasn't so.e goof Indian scammer.....perfect English and very very convincing....these guys are extremely good.

Oh yes they've gotten really good no doubt. Sucks for what happened. If there was a question about any of my crypto or bank accounts I would go to the site directly instead of clicking links in text messages or emails.

That sucks! Thx for sharing that. Scammers are getting more and more sophisticated.

It’s scary that everything is going digital one day we could all wake up and everything about us is wiped out clean and we’re all nobody’s no money no identity because everything about us has been erased in a blink of an eye.
