So the doctor told me I need to get one of these and I see everything on amazon.com from $14.95 to $200 and above. Does anybody have any experience with buying one of these? Any recommendations would be welcome.

Omron are really good. I had one that worked ok but I like this one better.
What do you like better about it? I've been very happy with Omron and they have a very good reputation in the medical field. But I love doing research and always enjoy looking into other brands. I'll have to look into this brand and model. 👌😎👍

Everyone is going to have their personal preference for preferring a certain brand and/or model. My number reason for preferring the Omron 10 Series is:

TruRead Technology

allows you to automatically take 3 consecutive readings at intervals you can customize (15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or the optimal two-minute rest period between readings) and then displays the average

Just inconsistencies with my omron after awhile. I would keep getting error messages and inconsistent readings that were drastically different. I would even put brand new batteries in it and same thing would happen. It started off good for about a yr then basically went thru all these issues.
The new one off Amazon has been great. I’ve had it about a year and a half now. I always take 3 readings then average it and with this one numbers are same or close on all 3. The omron would have near 20 point differential which was excessive.

@KingoftheNorth14, so I looked into the A&D Medical Premium Blood Pressure Machine, I like the extra-large cuff and average of 3 previous readings, plus Heart Track app. They seem to have a very good reputation, plus, reviews on Amazon are very good, only legit complaint is display is not backlit. On Amazon everyone raves about accuracy and longevity of this BP machine's accuracy over time of use. I've never had any issues with my Omron like you had with yours, I like the TruRead Technology of the Omron 10 Series and I use Omron's Body Composition Monitor with Scale. So, I guess that makes me an Omron fan. Although, through this discussion, at some point, I may try out the A&D BP machine, thanks for sharing brother.

I use a regular old sphygmomanometer with a stethoscope. I don't have to worry about batteries or error messages.
I might try an electric one someday.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I’m going to try the Omron. Found one really cheap on the Japanese Amazon site.

I would have to say great find, didn't know there was a Japanese specific Amazon site. What you found may be a nice higher end product because OMRON, is a Japanese electronics company based in Kyoto, Japan.
