Bergamot is one of the newest and most effective natural remedies for cardiovascular health and metabolic syndrome to date. Bergamot, often known as Citrus bergamia, is an orange-sized yellow citrus fruit. Calabria, in southern Italy, is where it grows best.
Bergamot extracts and oil from its peel are used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Perfumes used in personal care products
  • Aromatherapy
  • Health Supplements
Health Benefits of Bergamot
Reducing Cholesterol-

Bergamot has been found in several trials to help lower total cholesterol and "bad" LDL cholesterol. It may also aid in the rise of "good" HDL cholesterol and may be used as a complement to cholesterol medications.
Depression Relief-
An aromatherapy blend including bergamot has been proven to help with depression symptoms in older adults, persons with terminal cancer, and women at high risk of postpartum depression in studies.
Managing Blood Glucose-
Bergamot supplements have been studied for their effect on controlling blood glucose levels in people with metabolic syndrome, which causes symptoms such as high:

  • blood glucose levels
  • HDL cholesterol
  • blood pressure
Anxiety reduction
Anxiety levels were lower in the group that inhaled bergamot orange essence.
How to take bergamot
Bergamot-derived goods can be found in a variety of forms, including:

  • People can add liquid extract to tea or use it as a cooking component.
  • tablets or capsules with a serving size of 500 to 1,200 milligrams (mg).
  • powder that can be added to drinks or smoothies.
  • juice that can be diluted with water or consumed straight.

I use it everyday although I'm not sure how much of a benefit it really has had for me in regards to hdl. For blood glucose I like to use berberine more and for blood pressure a combination of telemasaetan and HCTZ has been really working well for me.

Good info! I have not use this supplement before but sounds like a supp that an AAS user could try to aid in combating some of the negative side effects of running AAS.

Ive been using it for a while. I do not think it raised my hdl much if at all. I actually just pulled lipids and then dropped it for red yeast rice to see if my hdl is any different in a few weeks.
