I've been dealing with really bad water retention from HGH mainly in my face, so I'm considering using 25mg of HCTZ(Hydrochlorothiazide) to help alleviate it. I want to make sure I'm doing this safely so what are the recommended safety measures or precautions I should take before and after consumption? I've read that HCTZ is generally safe and well tolerated if taken on a proper low dose, any other diuretics should consider? Thanks

What dose GH are you on?

What’s your diet like?

Have you tried celery root?

What else are you taking?

I'm taking about 1.5 iu a day, as for my diet i eat a low carb high protein diet at maintenance calories. I haven't tried it but I've tried dandelion root which is quit similar and it gave me a bad allergic reaction

Just 1.5iu?

Try 100-200mf celery root.

Is this your first run? I wouldn’t take a diuretic with only 1.5iu.

Yea I'm only taking 1.5iu might bump it up to 2iu later on. I'm down to experiment with the asparagus root but I'm looking for something stronger preferably pharmaceutical

It certainly could be due to increased sodium (Na) pump activity.
However, as odd as this sounds, if you have some anastrazole handy, maybe try that first to confirm that it's an increase in sodium causing the edema.

HCTZ is a relatively safe diuretic and is used primarily in combination therapy along with an ARB like telmisartan. If you are really concerned you could get kdiney specific bloodwork done before using it and after but in my experience I have not seen any negative outcomes to deploying it unless you are not on top of your electrolyte intake.

HOWEVER, at such a low dose of hgh I would not use it unless your blood pressure is un managed and even then I would opt for an ARB first. Give it a few weeks with not diuretics and you will likely see the water retention fad as your body returns to homeostasis.
