I`m talking about the guys who didn`t win an Olympia but had great shape and inspired you to train.
Of course there are many more, but just to get started here are a few.

Mike Mentzer

Yeah! Lee Friggin Priest! If Derek Lunsford can win why couldn`t Lee get a higher placing?
Politics probably... But when he was on the dude was SICK!

Totally political. Lee was VERY outspoken about the monies being distributed at the Olympia. Definitely didn't do him any favors with the establishment.

Bob Paris had the perfect most symmetrical physique of his era in my opinion
I was at the very first Arnold Classic in Columbus and Bob Paris was there. So, I got to see him in person. Not the biggest guy in the lineup, but yes, arguably the best symmetrically complete guy on the stage that day. He did have an amazing physique, one of my favorites back in the day.

Lee Priest was a freak and still is in his 50's. Talk about someone that has superior genetics. There was talk of him possibly doing the Masters Olympia. Palumbo was really egging him on, but I don't see him doing it.

As much as Mike Mentzer gets a lot of shit these days, he was one my favorites back in the day. I toyed with High-Intensity back in the day. Had Mentzer's book.

Watched Lee Haney win his 3rd title at the '86 Olympia. Lee is one I don't think gets as much recognition as he should. Damn, only he and Ronny are tied for the most at 8. Lee won the Mr Olympia 8 consecutive times and retired undefeated. He was the last before the mass monsters hit the scene.

How could I forget Victor Martinez? 2007 Olympia probably should have gone to him if Jay didn`t have the political momentum.
