What is the one movie that you can watch at any time or in any mood?


I tend to be an older soul myself so my absolute favorite film is Rear Window from 1954, directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
 
Not sure about a "go to" movie but here are a few that you just have to watch 2-3 times to get the full message, sometimes better the second time around to get the message behind the plot:
The Matrix
Sixth Sense
Inception
Smoking Aces
Eyes Wide Shut
The Shining - if you like the movie, you WILL love the book!
Apocalypse Now
JFK
Casino & Goodfellas
 
I’m joking but back in the cable days way before streaming services if it was on I was watching it! That and Predator, Conan, and Commando!

Dude! Those 3 movies are probably why I`ve been trying to get huge since high school! Nice (y)
 
Haha, I bet you can't guess, my other favorites are Pulp Fiction and The Big Lebowski. These are the top three all-time favorites. The fourth is Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Willy Wonka is the very first movie I ever saw in a theater back when it first came out.

Honorable mention: can't tell you how many times I've watched the original Pumping Iron, but for me, more of a documentary.

The Shining is the one book in which Stephen King lands the ending and is better than the film.
 
Yeah, that is one book that actually scared me more than the movie did. It gets in your head. Good stuff!

Dude, if your family likes anime, I can hook you up big time! Got a bunch of recommendations depending on what you guys like to watch.
Anime is like a religion over here in Japan.

Never watched the One Piece anime but I thoroughly enjoyed the live action Netflix adaptation.
 
I've been s Star Wars since I've been a kid......so any of the trilogy I love.

The Shawshank Redemption
Apollo 13
3000 Miles to Graceland
Some of the 'Bond' movies
Ronin
.....just ta name a few.
 
Favorite way to watch Star Wars has to be a tweaked machete order. I still watch Episode 1 even though machete tends to exclude it. If you don't know what that means, allow me to elucidate.

The best way to watch is this: New Hope, Empire, Phantom Menace (optional), Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the sith, Return of the Jedi.
