HWMF

Axe & Sledge --> HWMF

Getting ready to purchase a new chainsaw to go along with my axe and sledge. Looking at the Stihl MS291 with a 20" bar, would really like the MS261 with a 20" bar but can't justify the cost. Yesterday got the axe and sledge ready along with a multitude of different files and ceramic stone to be a HWMF coming into this next winter, fuck ya 👊😎👍

Nobody should take a day of life for granted. And we live only once in the flesh so we have the opportunity to make good and bad decisions but ultimately we cannot control when it’s our time.

Live it up fellas but try to be disciple, smart, and learn from your mistakes.

I've been watching a lot of Seth's vids on YouTube lately. He's inspired me to be the best I can be, especially for my little lady. The guy has quickly taken on a virtual mentor role for me. Hell, I'd hire the motherfucker to be my life-coach if I could afford him. He's a badass, All American Roughneck. He inspired me to get on my firewood ASAP. I was serious when I said I got my axe and sledge together with my sharpening kit for the axe and saw. I'm in the middle of shopping for a new chainsaw. I even picked up some merch:

I’ve always liked Husqvarna. When I lived in NY I worked for a logging company for 7yrs. Ball breaking work but I made good money. We did log and took the tops and did firewood. That’s where I was first introduced to running a saw and we always ran Husqvarna. Started out with a 288. When I moved in from logging a few years later I bought a house with a wood/coal stove in the basement. So I ordered log length firewood, bought a Husqvarna 455 Rancher, and a splitter. I would use about 20-25 cord a year. Great extra work to stay in good shape. 💪🏼

I did just buy a Kimber 1911 full size 45 on Father’s Day! I have 3-9mm, 2-380ACP, 1-.22L, 1-357 mag/38 Spec 4 1/4” barrel revolver, and now the 1911 in 45ACP. Love me some time on the range as well! 😎

You’re spot on with the 261c…….buy once cry once.

I just picked up a 261 to pair with my 500i.
Yesterday, was looking at refurbished MS261 off of Ebay. What's the difference between 261 and the 261c? 261c seems to be a higher level to the standard MS261 model. But I really don't know, I just know they're expensive, even refurbished. 😫

In my head I'm trying to justify the quality of a 261 model. 😆

Shit, just looked up a MS261c through my local authorized Stihl dealer, $780 before taxes. I want a 20" bar no matter what. I may end up with the MS261C, I like the hassle free carburetor feature. I have enough timber to keep me busy for years to come, Axe&Sledge, HWMF 💪

Maybe weird but I miss it. I didn’t mind cutting and splitting my own wood. I just liked to do anything outside even if it was just to find stuff to tinker with in the garage.

The 261 is old school….. think 4 barrel carb where the 261C is what’s called Mtronic. It is self tuning.
Look at the case placard for model, the C follows the number. Opposite of that or on right side as your operating the regular 261 has 3 holes in the plastic for adusting.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I saw where Stihl has discontinued the 261 and is only selling the STIHL MS 261 C-M 20 in. 50.2 cc Gas Chainsaw now (obviously available with different length bars). I have the 261 C-M with 20" bar in the cart, once the money is there, I will pull the trigger.
