So it was not steroid related, but I did suffer a heart condition. My doctor wants me to come off trt i told him, no, that's my choice. I have no clue if I'll ever be able to run anything ever again. Because, you know, doctors don't ever want you to do anything and they won't give you a good answer for that. But if you were in my shoes, would you come off trt

What kind of condition? Get your blood work done and see a heart doctor. Trt isn't usually linked but whats the severity of your heart

It was congestive heart failure brought on by a prior COVID infection that did not go away is what they determined. They said it was moderate to severe but I was honest with them when I went into the hospital and they looked at me like I was a crack addict

Your MD is most likely worried about fluid overload. We all know that testosterone can increase fluid retention which is one reason why we mitigate it with SERMS. CHF is a chronic condition where the heart muscle doesn't pump your blood efficiently or as well as it should. Because the heart can't keep up, blood backs up, causing fluid to accumulate in the lungs and the legs, ankles, and abdomen....retention. Doctors advise that patients with decompensated or severe heart failure avoid TRT until their condition is fully stabilized. Legitimate medical TRT aims to restore normal hormone levels, whereas high-dose bodybuilding steroid use can cause severe cardiac toxicity and fluid retention that can worsen heart failure.

This is a situation where doctors should collaborate instead of a back and forth of he/she said this and well he/she said this. Is it possible for an endocrinologist and a cardiologist to have a conversation for what’s best for “their” patient?
