Appendicitis Surgery

I just got home from a hospital last night after going to the ER 18.5hrs earlier.

I was in the hospital with an appendicitis. Just waiting on doctor to get in for surgery later this morning.

I took a shower at 8:30 and had a terrible stomach ache come on while I was in there. I thought it was gas so I went downstairs and had a soda and it just got worse. I went upstairs at 9pm to take some gas X and lay down. The pain got worse and by 11 my wife convinced me to go to and dropped me off at the ER

After a round of Zofran and 2 rounds of morphine I was still in pain. They took me in for a cat scan with contrast. Doc just came in to tell me the news. Also pain meds wore off so they gave me some dalotted. It still hurts and I’m in a constant 9-10 pain scale. They gave me some more…still no relief. That only lasted like 40min. So they tried it again then went to 10mg Oxy and Tylenol 3. After 3 or 4 serving of that I’m still dying.

They didn’t get me in for surgery until noon anfter being there for 13hrs and I finally got home at about 6:30pm last night. I am exhausted but feels much better removed. They also were like you can stay the night and I was like fuck that. What do I need to do to get outta here. They had a checklist and I was done in 30min and ready to go. They were like ok but you can stay…lol no thanks.

My wife has a surgery for tomorrow, Monday June 1st and she will be in bed rest for 2wks so this is gonna be hard. Now I’m out with no lifting more than 10lbs for the next 4-6wk. I just got back in the gym got the last 5wks after being cleared from my L5/S1 back fusion back in mid Jan this year.

It’s been a rough go so far in 2026. I need a solid recovery and get back to the weights hard again later this summer. This shit also takes me out of taking out the boat for the next 4-6wks.

Had I known my appendix was gonna take a shit on me I would have ordered some TB 500. I have my GH and some BPC-157 on hand so I’ll be using 1mg of BPC-157 and 2IU GH daily. I might order some TB but the incisions are a lot smaller than my 4 1/2” incision from my L5/S1 spinal fusion surgery I had back in Jan this year.

Feel your pain bro….. had a L4/5 done 5/1…..almost died 5/16 from full on sepsis infection. Home alone missing my kids military retirement that was out of town. Had it not been for blowing out the surgery incision and flowing custard I’d a stayed home and likely die. Took multiple phone calls from many different peeps to get me going - just had zero gumption or energy.

Point is, I hear ya about missing the gym! I’m going batshit and I have another 5 minimum weeks of 2x a day antibiotic injections - not like I have the energy to be able to do anything of merit, these injections are destroying my RBC’s and hemo.

Just know you’re not suffering alone!

Ouch that sucks glad you manned up and went to the ER and got it taken care of and hope your wife has a speedy recovery and you too. A break from the gym does good you got muscle memory you’ll be back before you know it. And I wouldn’t spend another minute in the hospital either.

Man, I just had to take 14wks off of the gym for my spinal fusion and just got back in for 5wks and poof back out again for 4-6wk. It’s true tho. I felt weaker for sure but it was coming back fast.

Thank you brother! This appendix wasn’t expected and couldn’t have come at a worse time but I will just have to suck it up and do what I can do. I will have to abandon the gym for a bit but it will all workout…pun intended.

Holy crap my friend. I know appendicitis can come from out of no where. Glad ta hear that everything went well, your ok and on the mend. sounds like its gonna be a little rough for you over the next month or so. You do what you can and focus on both of you getting stronger. Both of you don't need to worry about anything right now except recovering. Take it a day at a time and remember we are here for ya brotha.

I appreciate the support brother! Yeah a tough situation just made even tougher. I trust God he will give me the strength to be strong for the wife and I also trust in his healing hands. My daughter has a month of summer school she had to get back and forth to also so that’s kinda a pain but we will just grind it out. Gonna prolly have a few days of ordering out and Walmart deliveries this week and I can prolly get back to somewhat normal I hope the following week.

But just for a little extra I have some GH, BPC-157, and even found 2 X 2mg bottles of TB-500…better than nothing I guess. I’ll run the GH @2IU, BPC @1mg, and TB @.5mg daily. I have plenty of GH, 7 bottles of BPC, and just the 2 TB that will have to do for now. That should help. I was running a little gear but I’ll drop that back down to 125mg per week while we heal.
