There seems to be a lot of debate about how much cardio to do, and I know it depends on your goals. For those who are cutting or bulking, how much cardio do you typically aim for? I understand that nutrition and macros play a big role as well. I usually do about 20 minutes on the StairMaster at the end of my workouts. Just curious to hear what others have experienced and what has worked best for them.

If I’m doing slow sustained cardio like a jog then I’m going for 40-60min. Fast pace walking 90min.

However, I do like 20min HIIT. Intense 20min as hard as I can go at least 3 Xs a wk on a cut. It’s even good for a bulk but my workout outs are also pretty high intensity with super sets and only max 45-60sec rest periods.

I go take walks into the hills like daily and in the gym I prefer the bike or stairmaster for cardio. If I want intense, I use the plate loaded sled!

HIT is real!

You can’t base cardio on others, you need to do you to your goals IMO. For me compared to King, I’m 30 min at like 6% and 3.5-4mph and it meets my needs. If I wanted more lose, I’d double the time or maybe start out 30min run then 30min walk.

Not a pro or trainer by any means, just an old man who lost 50 looking to turn the clock back as much as I can.
