I’ve always respected Rich Piana and the mindset he promoted. He made a lot of solid points that many people overlook today. Too many people want the gear without putting in the actual work. Even if I get hate for saying it, I’ve always believed that if you truly love something, you should give it everything you have.
These days, unrealistic expectations and instant gratification seem to be what most people chase. In my opinion, bodybuilding is 100% driven by diet — and it’s okay if others disagree. When you dedicate yourself to meal prepping, tracking macros, and avoiding unhealthy foods, you naturally become more disciplined. You’re less likely to skip workouts and more likely to stay focused and driven.
Tools like steroids, peptides, and even nutrition itself can enhance the process, but none of it replaces consistency and effort. I’m always trying to evolve my training and improve, and I know I still have a lot of work to do.
I hope everyone reading this can take something positive from it. My favorite style of training has always been time under tension. Whether the weight is heavy or not, if you train with intent and consistency, you’ll see results.
