60 yrs old, no motivation, no energy, poor sleep, brain fog. Legs sometimes feel like they are made of concrete. Very low libido and total ed. Even my emotions are all screwed up. I've always been good at compartmentalizing emotions, some would say I'm cold.

Type 2 a1c was 11 down to 7.0 in 5 months after switching to carnivore diet last 3 months. I think I've dropped atleast 15lbs but need a scale to check. Off of insulin for 7 weeks just using jardiance. Insulin blew me up over 305 lbs, I couldn't move or breathe.

I know I have to increase exercise and get back on the gym so I can get my bg closer to normal. I cant even force myself to walk most days.

My endo has blown me off for the last year saying my T is good yet 2 factors are below acceptable ranges, free T and bioavailble. My total T is on low level. I feel im living to die. Before retirement I was a big heavy lifter 6'2" 290 in my best shape. Although im not 40 anymore being 60 i still think im young its just this general fucked up no energy malaise has screwed me up.

I have an appt with a urologist in Sept but I cant keep living like this.

Im thinking of starting with T cyp and a buddy suggested adding proviron.

What would be your suggestion on what to use, how much, and when?

I attached some bloodwork results from last week.

Came prepared with a solid intro. I'm sure plenty of fellas will chime in on this one. Welcome. Hope you find what you're looking for. I'll say this, and this about as much of a bone I'll throw you...starting at about 150-200mg of test cyp is a solid starting point. Proviron probably 50mg a day. Others will add their opinion and you'll probably get better direction. Good luck fella.

Hi and welcome to steroid freaks. I agree with puma start with 150 to 200 mg a week Cyp or Enth. You could do one shot 1mil a week or I prefer mine divided into 2 shots like Monday and Thursday half a ml each. You will feel better with more energy and libido etc. keep us updated on how things are going.

Thank you Durro much appreciated.

Welcome to the family brother! You definitely sound like you need some TRT. Start with just a low dosage of Test. Cialis as mentioned is also a daily supplement for me for all the added benefits.

Enjoy the site.

warm welcome.
agree with others - some testosterone enanthate or cypionate around 150 mg per week will make a big change

better start with testosterone alone. give it a shot. 6 weeks into 150 mg/week have bloodwork again and then decide whether you need to increase/decrease or add proviron. I do think adding proviron will help, but you need to understand how you feel about testosterone alone first. but at your age you'd need to inject testosterone for the rest of your life to keep levels high/normal.

Thank you. Yes, im aware its lifelong. Id rather live happily for next 10 15 years than in this depressive, no motivation no energy state. Im not worried about fertility at my age 😂

I like your recommendation.

Whats your thoughts on subq v. Im. I do have more than normal belly fat out front so not sure if thats an issue. I was thinking of starting off at 120/2 but every 5 or 6 days and monitor how I feel.

Ive heard different opinions Subq ...slower uptake less E rising yet someone else pulls out a study and days just the opposite .

Thanks...yeah dick pills for sure 😃

IM friend. Find a couple places to hit and rotate accordingly. Delts, quads, glutes. Should you proceed, let us know and we'll tell you what gauge and length needles. Which ones are for drawing back and which ones are for slamming. Twice a week shot is probably the best way to go. Get a jug of 200mg and do 1/2cc twice a week. Eat some pecker pills and get back in the game son.

I'm going to go against the grain here. In your situation I probably wouldn't mess with horomones until you correct all your health issues. If you start using AAS and blast beyond trt especially you will have a terrible time. People who are the most out of shape and have a high body fat experience the most side effects and it can be detrimental to your health especially at your age.

Maybe TRT would be acceptable but to be honest at 60 years old with your levels you really do not need it and even at TRT levels there is a strong possibility you will aromatize heavily because of your body fat levels. Yes you can use things like an AI to control that but then your adding more things to the equation and maybe you tank your estrogen which can then lead to poor lipids resulting in excessive work on the cardivascular system and effecting your heart in a negative way. Then you may need to implement something else into your protocol like a statin or ezetimbe which can then lead to more downstream effects. And the cycle continues.

My point being that you should definitly not blast anything at your age with your current condition.

Maybe TRT but it is a life long commitment and will likely involve more than just a standard dose of test.

My ultimate recommendation would be to drop down into an acceptable body fat percentage through diet and exercise without any horomones in the picture. Then re assess the situation and pull blood work again once you are sub 20% bodyfat. Likely once you are in a healthier state you will feel better and may re consider even using any TRT or horomones since you may not feel like you need them anymore because of how great you feel now.

I cannot force you to do anything, this is just my two cents.

If you want to discuss anything personally or privately feel free to DM me as well.

i perfectly agree with this.
a TRT, however, can greatly help IMO
Needless to mention you should pay attention to your diet mostly and workout plan tho. testosterone works as an enhancement of diet and workout plan.

Thanks, Puma. IM it is..Son 😂 😂 😂 Anyways what size pins you suggest for IM? Can I use just 1 size from draw and inj? Or do I need to use the 2 needle method. Which ones?

Thank you!

I truly appreciate your response and the time you took replying to me.

I agree i need to take care of weight and health issues. Ive changed my diet to mostly carnivore im lowering my A1c...carbs fk up my bg big time, I got off insulin that blew me up 20lbs in 2 months. Im trying but I know the most important thing I can do right now is exercise and get back in the gym and do strength training. I know it I just dont have the get up and go to do it.

Im 60 so I want to enjoy the last 10 15 years of life not just living to die. Most men die within 5 years of retirement in my past occupation ive made it 12 years 😊

The problem is there are 5/6 days out of the week it takes all my inner strength to get up and just go for a short walk or mow 1/4 of my lawn with legs of concrete. And my motivation and energy had gotten worse the last year..

I was a gym rat and worked out heavy in my 30 and 40s then slimmed down in my 50s. But in the ladt few years ive done nothing.

Again, thank you for taking the time with me.
