Anyone here struggle to consistently stay asleep? I fall asleep fine, take a few supplements, but i max out at 4 hours and wake up. Then i go right back to sleep. Anyway i can stay asleep? Its always 4 hours. My sleep is great otherwise but id like consistent sleep. I aim for 6-8 hours. Any tips on staying asleep?

Similar for me to. I usually wake up every 2hrs, then when it’s time to get up I get my best sleep. I use 25-30mg of Melatonin every night, and 2-4IU GH. I also have a script to take up to 300mg of Trazodone but I feel like a zombie the next day.

Do you have sleep apnea?

No i dont, i take 10mg melatonin and 2 moonchild sleep gummies. I prefer those cus i dont wake up groggy but i feel the waking up is harmful over time for recovery

Well it’s not ideal for recovery but it’s also not uncommon for many of us to only get 5-7hrs of sleep a night. You can also try some GH which is good for recovery and can help with sleep.

Sleep is important. You may want to work with your dr or a sleep specialist to find out why you might be waking up. I didn’t think I had sleep apnea until I did a sleep study and found out that it was worse than I thought it was. It definitely gets worse on cycle.

Hmmm my wife has never mentioned breathing issues or anything, i dont snore and sleep pretty soundly but ill mention it to my doctor

Not sleeping through the night is usually caused by lifestyle habits like drinking coffee or tea late in the day blocks sleep chemicals. Alcohol may make you drowsy, but it wears off and causes you to wake up a few hours later. Eating large meals close to bedtime can cause acid reflux, while drinking too much fluid leads to nighttime bathroom trips. Going to bed at different times every night confuses your body's internal clock.

Stress can be another culprit. Worrying about work, family, or even worrying about not being able to sleep keeps your mind racing.

Underlying medical conditions, not sure of your age but conditions like arthritis, backaches, or nerve pain make it hard to stay comfortable. Enlarged prostate (BPH) or bladder problems cause repeated nighttime awakenings. Acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease flares up when you lie flat.

Or sometimes specific sleep disorders like sleep apnea which is a condition where breathing briefly stops and starts over and over during the night. Or Restless Leg Syndrome which is an uncomfortable, tingly urge to move your legs when you try to rest.

These are all possible reasons. I have sleep apnea which I never knew how prevalent it can be as people age. Definitely things to consider.
